The conference for e-value theory, anytime-valid inference, game theoretic statistics and related research.
Accomodation
SAVI 2026 will take place in the U Parkhotel, conveniently located on the campus of the University of Twente. The UPark hotel has rooms available for a reduced rate (including breakfast):
- comfort rooms for 135.50€ per room per night
- superior rooms for 145.50€ per room per night
Booking of these rooms is possible until May 3, 2026 (as long as they are available) via the reception desk (bookings@uparkhotel.nl or +31-53-433-1366). You will need a reference code for booking on of the available rooms at a reduced rate: GA001358.
Call for Contributions
SAVI 2026 invites contributions in the spirit of an open, idea-driven workshop. This is a space to share cool ideas, new directions, early results, work-in-progress, conceptual sketches, fresh connections, emerging themes, and interesting questions. SAVI topics include:
- Foundations and theory of e-values and test martingales
- Anytime-valid and sequential hypothesis testing
- Optional stopping, optional continuation, and adaptive data analysis
- E-values versus p-values and Bayes factors
- Multiple testing and false discovery control with e-values
- E-values for model selection and comparison
- Game-theoretic statistics, connections to game-theoretic probability and online learning
- E-values in causal inference and adaptive experimentation
- Applications in machine learning, A/B testing, and data streams
- E-values for high-dimensional and nonparametric inference
- Software, computation, and practical implementation of e-values
- Case studies of e-values in real-world scientific and industrial settings
If you’re exploring something exciting in e-values—or something adjacent that should be part of the e-values world—we’d love to hear about it.
Getting Around
As you probably know, the main form of transport in the Netherlands is biking. However, most cities and especially Enschede and the campus of the University of Twente are walkable and for larger distances, using public transport is the recommended form of travel. The process of using public transport here is generally simple: search for a connection using 9292, check in when boarding your ride, and enjoy the travel.

Keynote Speakers
Snigdha Panigrahi

Snigdha Panigrahi is an Associate Professor of Statistics at the University of Michigan, where she also holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Biostatistics. She received her PhD in Statistics from Stanford University in 2018 and has been a faculty member at Michigan since then.
Her research focuses on converting purely predictive machine learning algorithms into principled inferential methods. By integrating tools from convex analysis, nonparametric theory and generative modeling, she develops novel inferential methods that advance explainable machine learning and trustworthy decision-making. She is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute, and her work has been recognized with an NSF CAREER Award and the Bernoulli New Researcher’s Award. Her editorial service, past and present, includes Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics, Bernoulli, and Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series B.

Registration
The registration for SAVI 2026 has now been opened!
https://www.aanmelder.nl/savi2026/registration
The registration fee is 500 EUR. This includes coffee/tea during the whole event; lunch Mo−Fri; and a conference dinner.
All corresponding authors who submitted an abstract have been notified about the acceptance of talks and posters. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of submissions. In turn, we have a tiny worry of possibly reaching the venue capacity, so please register as soon as possible if you intend to come! Attendance is not conditional on having an accepted contribution; everyone is very welcome!
